Where It Started
Founded by Jordan Martinez, a U.S. Air Force veteran, MATCHI started with a personal search for cleaner, steadier energy. After years of turning to harsher caffeine options, Jordan found matcha offered a smoother lift and a ritual he genuinely enjoyed. MATCHI was built to make that experience more accessible: ready to drink, easy to enjoy, and crafted with café-quality taste.
During deployment, matcha became part of his daily routine. It was more than caffeine — it offered a steadier kind of energy: calm, reliable, and lasting. It brought focus, familiarity, and a small moment of joy to long, demanding days. MATCHI was born from that experience: a love of matcha, a need for nourishment, and a desire for something simpler in the middle of chaos. Preparing matcha became a creative reset — a small, consistent practice that brought calm, clarity, and steadiness to each day.
Less Noise, More Ritual
Matcha solved part of the problem, but not all of it.
It helped cut the crashes, but the protein, collagen, and everything else still sat outside the routine. And as life got busier, even making matcha started to feel harder to keep up with. Meanwhile, too many "functional" drinks were doing too much — packed with bitter ingredients, heavy on benefits, and missing the part that actually makes you want to drink them.
MATCHI came from the desire to bring it all together: the joy of matcha, the discipline of nourishment, and the kind of steady focus that fits real life. One drink that tastes good, feels easy, and supports the way people actually want to live, work, and create.
Where We're Building From
MATCHI is headquartered in the United States, launching online this summer, with early retail and distribution rooted in New York City and Washington D.C. — where pace, culture, and ritual meet.
